Stephane Kirkland

Vice President, Strategy and Solutions

Stephane Kirkland is Vice President, Strategy and Solutions for Direct Energy Business. He is responsible for the Direct Energy Business strategy and has leadership team responsibility for Canada. He also leads Direct Energy Business Solutions, which includes the energy management and demand response offerings.

Stephane has been with Centrica since 2002. Prior to coming to North America, he was Head of European Business Development, based in Paris, France. He was also a non-executive member of the board of SPE, Centrica's Belgian JV. Previous to that, he held roles in corporate strategy and business development at Centrica headquarters in Windsor, UK.

Before joining Centrica, Stephane was a strategy consultant at Marakon Associates. He started his career as an architect, founding and managing his own architecture firm near Toulouse, France.

Stephane has degrees in architecture and art history from the University of Paris as well as an MBA from the Stern School of Business, New York University.
