John Williamson

Vice President, Finance

John Williamson is Vice President, Finance for Direct Energy Business. As Vice President of Finance, John is responsible for financial risk management, financial planning and analysis, financial strategy, decision support, and financial accounting and reporting.

John has been with Direct Energy since February 2005, during which time he has held senior finance roles in various areas of the business, including Corporate Controller at Direct Energy (in Toronto), Group Head of Financial Accounting and Reporting at Centrica (in the UK) and most recently, Financial Controller at Direct Energy Business (in Pittsburgh).

Prior to joining Direct Energy, John held a number of senior financial management roles at RBC Financial Group (in Toronto) in Finance and Treasury.

John is a Canadian Chartered Accountant, has an honors degree in Economics from York University and an MBA in Finance from the Schulich School of Business in Toronto.
